The first entry, first blog, 7.10.08

Hey Everyone!

After a busy week shopping for cool summer clothes, bug spray, batteries, and whatever we need on the trip, we finally come to the day of our departure. Its early on and a lot of the kids and leaders included are excited for our trip to Jackson County, Mississippi. Many are in their devotionals and getting spiritually ready for the trip ahead.

I hope to add to this blog daily, with a few interjections from our students and leaders as the days go by, so you may get a chance to see your child and/or loved one make a comment about the trip here. I'll see if I can keep tabs on it and keep it going!

You probably wonder what information is out there on what we are doing and where we will be staying. Here is the website for Project Forget Us Not...

And we will be staying at Camp Victor Ministries, Ocean Springs, Mississippi; an old factory converted specifically for helping the community rebuild after Hurrican Katrina.

Thanks again for all the support and prayers we have had for this trip! More info to follow...
